General Guidelines & Regulations




  1. Maximum no. of participation in sports activities at college level will be 3 for boys and 3 for girls (Group + Individual event). If any student found participating in more than above prescribed number of activities, he will be disqualified from all
  2. For group events prizes will be awarded to winner and runner up only.
  3. For single events prizes will be awarded to I, II and III position holders.
  4. Group events will be organized only if the number of participating teams are more than or equal to 8, however for girls minimum participating teams should be 5.
  5. Single events will be organized only if the number of participating players is more than or equal to 8, however for girls minimum participating players should be 5.
  6. Teams should report 15 minutes before the scheduled time. If the team is late by more than 10 minutes, the match would be forfeited to the opposition team.
  7. All the matches will be on knock out basis.
  8. All the players of ‘Playing Team’ (for group event, as mentioned in team Size) should be available at the time of match otherwise opposition team will be declared winner. In case of emergency relaxation of one player may be made with the decision of referee/chief sports coordinator. Teams will not be allowed to change, after registration & finalization from the department.
  9. Inter-departmental participation of students is not allowed in any event.
  10. All the participants must carry their college identity cards at the time of their match.
  11. Any misbehavior or misconduct with any officials or match referee may lead to strict action and penalty against the player/team & may lead to the extent of declaring the opposition as winner of the match.
  12. Any player found indulged in disciplinary act, will result into his/her disqualification and necessary action will be taken by the JGI discipline committee.
  13. The decisions of referees/umpires will be final.
  14. One faculty of respective department must be present on the field/ground at the time of their departmental matches.
  15. All the participants must be in their proper sports kit. No formals, jeans, shirts and trousers are allowed. Proper sports shoes, T- shirts and lower/ shorts should be used.
  16. Outside judges will be called for following games only: Cricket, Football, Basketball and Volleyball.
  17. For all other games the judgment will be done by JGI faculty coordinators
  18. Sports authority will be final decision-making body in all the matters regarding sports.


  1. Candidate should report at the event venue 30 minutes before the commencement of the event.
  2. All the registrations will be online only. No offline registration will be considered.
  3. There is no participation limit for a student to participate in cultural events.
  4. Once the team has registered, no changes in the team members will be entertained.
  5. All team members must be present at the time of event.
  6. Participants must carry their ID cards all the time.  
  7. Judges decision will be final and binding. Further if any issue arises, the same can be conveyed to the Resonance Cultural Coordinator.
  8. The organising committee reserves the right to change the venue and time, if required and information about the same will be displayed on Resonance notice board/website.
  9. Students have to abide by rules and regulations as decided and declared for the considered event. Violation of the same may lead to dis-qualification.
  10. In case of in-disciplinary act by any of team member, that team will be disqualified immediately and appropriate severity will be taken against that student by the proctorial board of Resonance.
  11. In case of clash of events, the student has to choose one event according to his/her own interest.

  1. Team member may be from inter department but all the members must be from same college.

  9. Judges decision will be final and binding. Further if any issue arises, the same can be conveyed to the Resonance Technical Coordinator.
  10. The organizing committee reserves the right to change the venue and time, if required and information about the same will be displayed on Resonance notice board/website.
  11. All Intercollege/Interschool participants must have a valid ID proof (college ID is compulsory) or a letter of participation duly signed by their college authority.
  12. Students have to abide by rules and regulations decided and declared for the event concerned. Violation of the same may lead to disqualification.
  13. In case of in-disciplinary activity by any of team member, that team will be disqualified immediately and appropriate severity will be taken against that student by the proctorial board of Resonance.
  14. In case of clash of events, the student has to choose one event according to his/her own interest.
  15. Registration in the technical events starts from 04 March 2020.
